DOVE AWARD WINS

Jars of Clay won 2 Dove Awards at this year's 41st Annual GMA Dove Awards. The band won one award for the Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year for their latest album The Long Fall Back To Earth as well as an award for the album’s Recorded Music Packaging.

“It’s a big grace to us. At the end of the day, it’s an award,” Jars of Clay’s Charlie Lowell said backstage at the show. “But we’re humbled by it. There’s a sense of gratefulness that 16 years in, we love what we do still, we care about each other and there’s other people out there who care about what we’re doing."

Congrats! I'm always telling everyone how awesome you all are. The Long Fall Back To Earth is like sustenance. It's a confirmation and a hope all wrapped up with a snazzy 80s pop sound. P.S. It's also illuminated Good Monsters quite a bit for me. Again Congrats!

I listen to "A Long Fall Back to Earth" and can't believe how awesome you all are after all these years. I have all of your albums and they just keep getting better and better. Congrats on the Dove.

Well, congratulations — even though I don't think such prizes are worth much. The Long Fall Back to Earth is the best album of 2009, that I listened to as far as my opinion is concerned, and I don't need anybody to tell me that. But again, congratulations.
