Gratitude & Anticipation...

Hey all - I wanted to leave you with a quick note to say thanks for the amazing shows out on the west coast. The audiences were amazing, and we had a GREAT time previewing some of the Christmas album live. :) Buy your copy, your friends' copies, and your family's copies this Tuesday!!

In a few hours, Dan and I will board a plan with Jena and some of our friends at Blood:Water Mission to visit our friends in Kenya and see some opportunities in Rwanda as well. We appreciate your thoughts for us, our families, and for Char and Matt who may experience bouts of phantom lead singer/guitar player panic. Not so pretty.

This is a pic of a baby in one of the villages, named "Jena Lee" after our director, who was visiting their village when she was born. What an honor!? We've been graced with so much life in this engagement. Our hearts are already full as we leave Nashville. Be well and fight for good things!

Africa

Hey Steve. I'll be praying for y'all on your trip to Africa and back. I hope you and Dan and the B:W folks have a good trip.

That pic is adorable! That's really sweet that the baby was named after Jena Lee.

I'll also pray that Matt and Charlie don't have any separation anxiety while y'all are gone. ;)

Love Song for a Savior

Thought you might appreciate seeing my blog post of 10/17/07: www.egape.blogspot.com. This song, the one that brought Jars of Clay into my consciousness, speaks to me deeply. Thank you for your music ministry.

In Him - Susan

(Btw, saw you last in Johnson City, TN a few years ago, outside at a Youth event. You were great!)

By HIS GRACE!

Thank You Jars of Clay for being open to God’s Spirit! For His Spirit to be able to work such fantastic music out through your willing group, to our ears! Your Concert that I attended in Pismo Beach, CA (New Life Church) was FANTASTIC! I have not heard any full CD’s of your music since your first release way back when. Your style and music has matured, yet is still so fresh! The Holy Spirit is ever present, and breathes Love and Joy through your Music as it points to our Savior Jesus Christ!

Since the concert, I have tried to purchase every CD and DVD that you have ever made to try and “catch up” on what I missed of your work. Last night my wife and I watched your 11th hour DVD / concert. AWESOME, WELL DONE, LOVED IT! (My Denon 110 watt Stereo overheated and shut down twice from being overworked!)

As my personal Christian walk with Christ cycles through its ebb’s and flow’s your music has brought me back to a very FULL, HIGH TIDE walk with Him again! Memories of your first CD era float through my head, as I am filled with your new songs and lyrics of your more recent works! (I now work out to your Monsters CD instead of Madonna’s greatest hits).

Your Monsters CD is a new high for your music! Your diversity, change in sound, fantastic drummer, is like an orchestrated time machine that sweeps us away to a pause of time, transported into Gods presence. (It’s His Spirit moving through your music).

Please stay Humble, before His throne, seeking Him as you endure the hardship of what human popularity brings. (Just look at our secular music friends life’s for sad examples). I envy you in that you get to see the BEST slice of true America while you are on tour. I can imagine what it would be like to see concert after concert of packed houses of God’s people wanting to worship our King through your music!

I will be praying for your group to continue God’s work.

In Christ, Your 50 year old fan
