We've begun a new record!
Hello friends...it's with great joy I tell you we have officially started recording songs for our next release.

This is charlie, bringing rock to the keyboard.

This is Jeremy bringing rock to the percussion.

This is Dan bringing rock to the lyrics.

This is Matt bringing rock to the acoustic guitar.

This is Ron bringing rock to the producing.

This is me bringing rock to the electric guitar.

This is Gabe bringing rock to the frog clave thing.

This is Mitch and Josh bringing rock to the engineering.
Stay tuned. There are great plans. Be on the lookout for more webisodes of Jars of Clay "Real Stories" as well as videos from the dark corners of my mind.
Gotta run!

makes me so excited! i will look forward to it with great anticipation......ah yeah.
Rockin'
It's good to know the level of "rockin'" y'all are putting into this new album. ;)
I'm really excited about the new "real stories," and any weirdness you can throw at us!
Rock the fruit
Steve, THANK YOU for keepin the rock edge in there on this new album. Can I just say that I'm really excited this album is an independent release? You may not count Christmas Songs, but I do seeing as how it's one of my favs. Frankly, I could listen to "Love Came Down" all year. Anyway, you set the bar for yourselves with CS. I'm expecting this new CD to be just as good, if not better... No pressure or anything. :p And what's up with your old label releasing a "Greatest Hits" AFTER you guys left them? I have one word for them... LAME.
I was looking for fruits on your heads but I guess they've been rocked off.
Keep the updates coming.
Peace, rock, and fruit,
iwb

To A Fun Summer!
You guys look like you're having a blast. I can't wait to see you... not once... not twice... but three times this summer! I will see you in Wheaton, Champaign, and Chicago. The Champaign concert is a little far, but I guess you guys are worth it. Keep rockin' in the free world! Also thanks for the updates; keep 'em coming.
Jars of Rock
If those pics are any indication, this new album is something to really look forward to...lol.
Steve, love your floor writhing pic. Actually, all the pics are awesome. One question though...is Charlie "rockin'" or "yawnin'"?? ;-)

w00t!!!
(hehe XD)
So happy!!! I can't wait. Really!!! And, I'm totally loving all that rocking going on there :D Especially those white shades. Oh, yeah XD
triangle
How do we get the triangle song? Is that a web only type deal or is there a Jars CD out there somewhere that I am unaware of???
Did you read the article in Slate that mentioned you guys?!
Ok, I just got through reading an interesting article on Slate (an MSN.com subsidiary) Here is the link: http://www.slate.com/id/2190482/
The article is about Christian Pop Culture and specifically references you all on Page Two. You also have to make sure you read the comments on the article: http://fray.slate.com/discuss/forums/2930/ShowForum.aspx?ArticleID=21904...
I've got to be honest, Christian pop culture at times is no better than secular culture, but come on! Well, I will let you all read it for yourselves, but I would LOVE to hear your comments about the article!
Thanks for all you do (though certainly playing a small venue in the Tampa Bay area would be awesome!). Can't wait for the new album!

Spy Satellite
Cool sunglasses. You all look like secret agents from espionage films. Two of those pics look like spies hacking into the enemy's profiles, or something like that. Can you see which ones?
Thanks for the great news, Steve. Love that writhin' and rockin' guitar pose.
