Music Builds! First show!
Helloooooo Detroit! Tonight was lots of fun. Our first show of the tour...lots of nervous energy - yes, we still get nervous - but it's more of a hope for the connection to the audience, than anything else. All the technical aspects got sorted, so it's off and running! We've got great help from some of the crew already out on the tour.
It seems I should mention, to those coming to other dates on this tour...if you want to see us, leave early for the gig. Lots of folks mentioned to us while we were signing that they missed all but a couple songs. We're playing first in the line-up, and we play for 35 minutes. This is a picture of us, about to take the stage.
It should also be mentioned that we selling our new EP at the shows! You can get your hard-copy at the concert...we hope to see you out at a show soon!!!

Great Show
Great show last night by all! However, JOC and Switchfoot were my bands! You guys should be on an hour like SF and TD...hopefully on the next tour. You sounded awesome.
For you fans going to upcoming shows on this tour - it's a 4+ hour show (including intermissions). Excellent! Leave work early to get there on time and stay to the end.

I'm really excited about the tour, but I'm a little bummed that you only get to play for 35 min. But maybe I'll get to see you do a Christmas show, you know, if you play some southeast dates. *hint hint*

My 73 year old mother is also a HUGE Jars fan--she was at the concert last night too. She has every CD and listens almost all the time! Her favorite song is Flood! We both hope you guys come back to the Detroit area on your next tour--because we will definately be there!

What an amazing show! So worth the drive from Toronto.
There was a ton of traffic on the I-75 so we got there just minutes before the start. I overheard other people say the same thing.
Anyhow, it was GREAT to see you on stage and to hear the new songs and the remixes played live. Loved them all! I bought the EP, of course. Now I wish I'd bought extra copies for friends!
Oh, the other bands were really cool too. But you guys are THE BEST!

I just got back from the Chicago Music Builds tour, and I was really bummed out that I missed meeting you guys, because I guess I got to the merch table thing too late. That was the only sad thing in an otherwise ABSOLUTELY amazing show.
So, yeah, I would have loved to meet you guys, because I think you are that great. But yeah. And also, you played my two favourite songs, Work and Dead Man. It made me VERY HAPPY.

I went to your show this past weekend on Northerly Island in Chicago and I could not have been happier. I prayed for great weather and God was faithful. :-) I have been a huge fan for YEARS and it was awesome to rock out again with you guys. Thank you so much!!! (By the way, great hair cuts!) I met a lot of people who either have not heard from you in a long time or have not heard of you before (the kids)- either way everyone I spoke to LOVED your set and were super excited about your music when all was said and done. The good news is that everyone loved you; the bad news is that I was at the end of the line for signing and only got Dan and Matt to sign my poster (thank you to both for being so kind and courteous- even the strict security guy was kind). I also went to your show at the DuPage County Fair last month with Steven Curtis Chapman- I was near the front rocking out, dancing like a fool and having a blast with kids half my age (I am not that old, but what an awesome feeling to be able to "outdance" the 10-16 year-old crowd). I also saw the show at Lifechangers International Church in December with Third Day. This "Third Clay" show was the highlight of the Christmas season for me (besides seeing the "Nativity Story") and I am so glad I had the chance to thank all of you for recording the best version of "Little Drummer Boy"- my all-time favorite Christmas song. If you have not realized it yet, I am extremely fond of your music. I also support the causes you stand behind, including Blood: water Mission and Habitat for Humanity. Thank you for caring, thank you for using your God-given talents for greater good, thank you for sharing, and I thank God for continuing to richly bless you as a band. You guys need to come back to Bakersfield! Or LA... whatever's clever. :3 I missed all the concerts nearest to where I live recently. BUT I am going to buy this new cd as soon as I find it. :3 I LOVE YOU GUYS LIKE THE BROTHERS I NEVER MET.
Your Detroit show
My husband told me the night before the concert you all would be playing. It wasn't advertised like a JOC show.. so I was surprised and overjoyed! I didn't get the message about getting there early. :( On a drive that should have taken no more than an hour, adding I left a half an hour EARLY (because I like to be early) I was STILL a half an hour late.. stupid traffic on 75. ANYWAY, it was a blessing in disguise because I walked in and got to meet you all! :) I LOVE the new EP. I especially like the remix of Love Song for a Savior!
You all were great at the end too with TD and SF.. :) Great night! Hope you come back soon!

You guys were great in Indy! So were all of the other bands. I love it that you guys are normal guys and you came out and chatted with the fans (including me :) ) after the show.
Music raises our affections in a way that few other things can! Thank you for turning our affections toward the One Great Love!
If you are going to the show: get there early and show Jars some love! Look around you and think about the fact that a high percentage of the people you see will most likely be in heaven with you! Join with them and the bands on the stage and do what you will be doing together in heaven! Worship the King!
