Flood Update from Gray Matters
Jars of Clay's Nashville studio, Gray Matters, received damage from the flooding over the weekend. The team is working hard to sort through the impact and begin the repair phase. Your thoughts and prayers for everyone in the Nashville area are greatly appreciated.
Recording of The Shelter has been set back a week or so, but the band is anxious to get back to recording when not out doing shows.
DOVE AWARD WINS
Jars of Clay won 2 Dove Awards at this year's 41st Annual GMA Dove Awards. The band won one award for the Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year for their latest album The Long Fall Back To Earth as well as an award for the album’s Recorded Music Packaging.
“It’s a big grace to us. At the end of the day, it’s an award,” Jars of Clay’s Charlie Lowell said backstage at the show. “But we’re humbled by it. There’s a sense of gratefulness that 16 years in, we love what we do still, we care about each other and there’s other people out there who care about what we’re doing."
